My Story of God’s Goodness!

What’s Going on?

Saying goodbye to family and friends!  As most of you have heard by now I am making plans to travel to Tanzania, Africa for a couple of years.  I will be heading out on January 5, 2009.  I actually will be leaving this coming Monday to spend the next couple of months in training in Virginia.  I am completely honored and humbled that God would allow me to be a part of what He’s doing!

How did this come about?

I’ve had a passion for international missions for as long as I can remember.  It has always been a life long dream of mine to have the opportunity to serve abroad.  But I was never really sure if that was just something I wanted or if that was God’s calling on my life.  About this time last year I had reached some major cross roads in life.  I was fervently praying and seeking God’s directions in some areas.  One day I was sitting at church and the emphasis was on Lottie Moon and international missions.  I vividly remember the spirit of God just gripping my heart until I was completely broken.  As I sat there with tears running down my face, I knew God was saying it was time.  Shortly thereafter, I began applying with the International Mission Board.  And here I stand just a few months away from heading out into the great unknown.
