As you know this coming week is week four of the training here in Richmond. Which means I’m exactly half way through. Which also means I’m beginning to struggle. My tendency is to start strong, dwindle down, and finish week. The enemy knows me as well. He’s pulling out all stops in keeping me busy, preoccupied, or just simply ran down. Anything to keep me from spending crucial quality time with the Father. Please pray for me. Pray that I would keep focus and that I would finish stronger than I began.
How do I beat my body and force myself to finish strong? #1 Your Prayers #2 A daily battle to offer up the “sacrifice of praise.”
I’ve often wondered what it meant by “bring unto me the sacrifice of praise.” What is the sacrifice of praise? God is teaching me that the sacrifice of praise is any praise that He receives through our sacrifice. So each morning when the alarm clock goes off, and we’re tempted to push snooze instead of arising and seeking His face, let us rise and offer Him “the sacrifice of praise“. And each evening when we’re tempted to watch that extra hour of television instead of spending time with him, let us offer Him “the sacrifice of praise.“ And when it’s late and our bodies are tired from the days labor and we desire so badly to lay our heads to rest, let us not lay down until we’ve been in His word and thus offer Him “the sacrifice of praise.”
Just wanted to let you know that Freddy, Dustin, Baileigh, Trevor, and I are thinking about you. Baileigh asked this weekend “Why don’t we see Jill anymore?” I don’t think she understood that when you left we would not see you at church! We are praying for you and miss you dearly. We will pray that you will finish strong. We love you!!!
Hey girl…..We love you and miss you so much!!!!!Wow…You are at the half way mark…Can’t wait to see you in 4 weeks….I had an incredible urge to pray for you this afternoon, …God led me to 2 Timothy 3:14 “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation throug faith in Christ Jesus.”
Just know we are praying and thinking of you…and by the way, it is awfully quiet in class without you!! Thank you for your inspiring words, I enjoy reading your blogs…See you soon!!!!
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise-the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Hebrews 13:15, 16

Hey Jill, We had a Veterans Day program at school today. I thought about the “service” you are in and realize that you are my hero. Love you.
Jill,Everyone at Omega is praying for you. Preacher Bud and Faye said to tell you “hello” and to stay strong. They pray for you daily, as do I. The closer you get to God and the more you do for Him, Satan will work that much harder also. Please know that we all love you and pray for God to lift you up. You are doing wonderful things.
Just as Paul gave thanks and prayed in Col 1:3, I give thanks to God for extraordinary people like you and pray daily. Thank you for being the wonderful servant you are. Love in Christ, Martha
Jill, Just wanted you to know how much we love you and we are praying for you. Madalyn and Lynnie and I send our love and we cannot wait to see you. The Lord is your strength and thank you for reminding me to offer the sacrifice of praise. Love you. Wally
Hi Jill!!!
God speaks so clearly through the honest words in your blog. It is such a blessing to see the way He is at work within you! I am confident that despite the best of Satan’s efforts, the truth of God will be made more clear to those around you who didn’t know His love before. God’s word is never spoken in vain!
(I will be praying for you as you do His work for His people in Africa! and constantly checking your blog updates:)Love and miss ya!
The verse I was wanting for my last comment was Isaiah 55:10-11. My Sunday School teacher quoted it today…isn’t it amazing how God works!
Is. 55:10-11
“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

Believe me I can understand getting burned out on training, i’ve been doing it straight since Feb, and I volunteered for the next training i’m going to in Aug. Though in my case I don’t have the option to quit, there are many times when I get frustrated. Remember to breath, remember to pray, and realize, which i’m sure you do, that it’s not about you, for you are doing it not only to better yourself but also with the intentions of helping others. I’ll be sure to pray for you as you continue to study, prepare, and the finally execute whatever it is you do. Take care your in my prayers.
